This is just what whole grain breads need to be moist and flavorful. Try a 2:2:1 ratio of bread flour, whole wheat flour and oat flour in your next loaf or muffin recipe. Yummy.

We have been using barley flour and oat flour to mix with our regular whole wheat or while flour. It adds a slightly different flavor and consistency to what we are baking -- but we really enjoy it!
We found the Arrowhead Oat Flour sold by Amazon to be top notch. It does expire by the end of the year -- so we will have to use it up fairly quickly.

If you ever wondered what Oat Flour was used for in baking, I first got introduced to it in the 2nd South Beach Diet Book. Since I got the book, I am on a regular schedule of making cookies for my hubby and friends. The cookies have a distinct kind of oat flavor and delicious.
No doubt Oat Flour is used for people who have heart conditions for sure. Try it, and I believe you will like it a lot.
